Are you a cam whore or flash mongrels who don’t have anything to do but to pose in front of the camera? Or are you a fashionista who can’t leave home without having your make-up on and your louis vuitton purse? then this event is for you!!!!

MAG Alliance is hosting Project: HeadShot here in Phnom Penh, and will be held at Pontoon Lounge on June 07 ‘08. Photos will be taken by Philippines’ Headshotmeister Niccolo Cosme together with his army of talented Litratistas. What else can you ask for! I am pretty excited to join this event not only that I’m part of the company but to be listed among the uber cool personalities who has joined this event previously, then this one will definitely have my Green Signal ;-O woot woot!

I wonder what drama will I use for this session…until now I haven’t settled as to how I can look extraordinary on the 15 shots that I will have. Shall it be flirty or a soldier wannabe, lol!

after a busy housekeeping morning, we went shopping (again?). first at pencil to buy foot spa kit, but because we’re shop-a-holics, we bought more stuffs than we expected, yan ba ang tinatawag na budget conscious? tsk tsk! wala na daw pera pero panay pa din ang ang gastos! then went to the famous micha place - noodles un parang lucky me pancit canton pero customized kasi me veggies and meat, tapos me sauce na matamis, panalo!!! naka 2 locha si pong tapos kaming lahat micha na ang kinain. sabi nung driver namin sikat daw talaga un place na un for that food, normally mayayaman ang napunta but looking at the price it’s not really expensive for $1.25 per plate - mahal pa ba naman un, eh wla na ngang mabili ang $1 sa ngaun sa taas ng bilihin!

soon we went to thrift japan near wat phnom :-) it’s a shop where you can buy 2nd hand clothes and damn the prices are way too cheap :-P i dont fancy buying used things, i always prefer to buy new clothes and other abubots kasi ayaw ko ng pinaglumaan ng iba, but the hell this shop’s so great u will not be able to resist the magnet pulling you to the hanged clothes and eventually buy them! no wonder my friends enjoy going there and im always the one listening to their shopping stories. i bought really good clothes, un sa kahit na anong panahon bagay :-D mas madami pa sana akong mabibili kung slim ako but no worries, i’ll be back to my own shape pretty soon :-D i suddenly remember chele because she’s a huge fan of ukay ukay and always the one who enjoys digging clothes in the big pile! anyway, magastos tong araw na ito and i dont mind…masaya naman ako which matters most and the best part of it, i found a new shopping haven, hehehe!

got this one at KFC this evening when aaron and i dated at the nearby park, he got hungry and asked for fries so we went there to grab some dinner. i was about to pay the bill when i saw this uber cool alkansya where they have in four animals. cute sana un blowfish but we’re not lucky enuf to be one who can own it…ubos na kasi :( so aaron picked the snail, kaya lang ang laki ng butas nung hulugan ng pera kaya binrainwash ko un bata dahil mas gusto ko tong froggy, hehe! pano ang laki ng mata…when we got home the kid put all of his ipon to froggy and kept it in a nice place. sayang nga lang wlang coins dito sa cambodia kaya tuloy puro paper money un nilagay nung bata.

on a serious note, cloud 9 ang feeling kapag naaalala ka ng ibang tao even though you didn’t share much time together :-) isa lang ang ibig sabihin nyan…maganda talaga ako este ang ugali ko kaya ganun, hahaha!

BEIJING (AP) — A powerful earthquake trapped nearly 900 students in central China on Monday after their school collapsed and at least 107 people were killed across several provinces, state media reported.

The 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck central China, but sent thousands of people rushing out of buildings and into the streets hundreds of miles away in Beijing and Shanghai. The temblor was felt as far away as Pakistan, Vietnam and Thailand.

The official Xinhua News Agency reported that four of the dead were ninth-grade students killed when their high school collapsed. Photos showed heavy cranes trying to remove rubble from the ruined school. Xinhua did not say how many of the students were feared dead.

It said its reporters in Juyuan township, about 60 miles from the epicenter, saw buried teenagers struggling to break loose from underneath the rubble of the three-story building “while others were crying out for help.”

Two girls were quoted by Xinhua as saying they escaped because they had “run faster than others.”

The Ministry of Civil Affairs told Xinhua that the 107 dead had been killed in Sichuan, Gansu and Yunnan provinces and in the municipality of Chongqing. It said many had died in collapsed buildings but did not give details.

The earthquake comes less than three months before the start of the Beijing Summer Olympics, when China hopes to use to showcase its rise in the world.

The earthquake struck in the middle of the afternoon when classes and office towers were full, about 60 miles northwest of Chengdu. There were several smaller aftershocks, the U.S. Geological Survey said on its Web site.

Calls into the city did not go through as panicked residents quickly overloaded the telephone system. The quake affected telephone and power networks, and even state media appeared to have few details of the disaster.

“In Chengdu, mobile telecommunication convertors have experienced jams and thousands of servers were out of service,” said Sha Yuejia, deputy chief executive officer of China Mobile.

Although it was difficult to telephone Chengdu, an Israeli student, Ronen Medzini, sent a text message to The Associated Press saying there were power and water outages there.

“Traffic jams, no running water, power outs, everyone sitting in the streets, patients evacuated from hospitals sitting outside and waiting,” he said.

Xinhua said an underground water pipe ruptured near the city’s southern railway station, flooding a main thoroughfare. Reporters saw buildings with cracks in their walls but no collapses, Xinhua said.

The earthquake also rattled buildings in Beijing, some 930 miles to the north, less than three months before the Chinese capital was expected to be full of hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors for the Summer Olympics.

Many Beijing office towers were evacuated, including the building housing the media offices for the organizers of the Olympics, which start in August.

“I’ve lived in Taipei and California and I’ve been through quakes before. This is the most I’ve ever felt,” said James McGregor, a business consultant who was inside the LG Towers in Beijing’s business district. “The floor was moving underneath me.”

In Fuyang, 660 miles to the east, chandeliers in the lobby of the Buckingham Palace Hotel swayed. “We’ve never felt anything like this our whole lives,” said a hotel employee surnamed Zhu.

Patients at the Fuyang People’s No. 1 Hospital were evacuated. An hour after the quake, a half-dozen patients in blue-striped pajamas stood outside the hospital. One was laying on a hospital bed in the parking lot.

Closer to the epicenter in Chongqing, Lai Dequn was napping while her mother watched TV on the 19th floor of a hotel.

“I suddenly felt the bed shaking and then realized it must be an earthquake,” said the 42-year-old Lai. “So I just put on slippers and helped my mother down to the ground floor.”

In Shanghai, skyscrapers swayed and most office occupants went rushing into the streets.

The airport in the provincial capital, Chengdu, was closed and roads were clogged with traffic after the earthquake, state television reported.

In the Taiwanese capital of Taipei, 100 miles off the southeastern Chinese coast, buildings swayed when the quake hit. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The quake was felt as far away as the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi, where some people hurried out of swaying office buildings and into the streets downtown. A building in the Thai capital of Bangkok also was evacuated after the quake was felt there.

A magnitude 7.8 earthquake is considered a major event, capable of causing widespread damage and injuries in populated areas.

The last serious earthquake in China was in 2003, when a 6.8-magnitude quake killed 268 people in Bachu county in the west of Xinjiang.

China’s deadliest earthquake in modern history struck the northeastern city of Tangshan on July 28, 1976, killing 240,000 people.

it’s a normal day again except that nestle was feverish last night. he couldn’t sleep well so he keeps moving on the bed and when he can’t take it anymore and was too afraid that i might get sick as well, he transfered to the other bed. i stood up and helped him for i don’t want him to suffer so much. around 3.30am we went back to sleep.

we didn’t do much aside from the usual marketing every saturday and rest. mommy deng cooked pork sinigang as requested by kuya aaron and everybody feasted on todays menu! and because of the cyclone in myanmar the weather in cambodia is also affected. it’s been raining every afternoon for 2 weeks now so it’s kinda lazy to go places (well, we’re always lazy so what’s new eh!) we started our movie marathon after dinner. nico played alvin and the chipmunks first (if im not mistaken it’s our 7th time to watch it, hehe! but who cares…even mommy deng enjoys watching it over & over again!) then daddy pong played mulan next because he hasn’t seen it yet and last is the road to el dorado. lucky, aaron has a lot of dvd’s in store so we can just pick anything we want.
