Drop the last year in the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can goBrooks Atkinson

I didn’t make a good start of my 2009, I guess. The beginning of the year was a mess. I wasn’t able to configure the things that I have to prioritize and settle plus there were a lot of confusions on things I want to do.

But I do not have any regrets :P

I am the one who always have an open mind and positive outlook in life, though in times I feel tired and stressed. I am the one who think there’s a solution in every problem. And yes I believe that every suffering has an ending, so I continue with all my perspectives.

Now that 2009 is bidding farewell, I want to look back to the things that made me a better person :)

1. Pong – you have given me much much love I could have received and I am so thankful for that. I hope that our friendship and love will continue to grow as we grow old together.

2. Andrea, Aaron & Aiken – you have pushed my sanity to its limits and yet I’m still alive! You’re all my trophies in life and there is nothing that can change my love for all of you :D

3. My Family – we’ve been tested through thick and thin, and we proved that we can surpass the trials that comes on our way.

4. Old Bosses – you have taught me to be stronger and better in my craft. The lessons I have learned which brought tears some time will never be forgotten.

5. New Bosses – thank you for the brand new experiences that you are giving me. I am loving the opportunities and challenges I’m facing at school.

6. Friends – I don’t have many but I have loyal ones! To all of you, I know God has better plans for all of us on the year ahead.

2010

As 2010 is fast approaching, let us give ourselves a chance to grab change and enhance our personalities by creating a positive living. Let us learn to accept defeat and learn to stand up from our mistakes. Begin to love ourselves before we can give love to others and last, make the most of what we can each day, for we do not know until when we are gonna stay in this world.

I don’t have any New Year’s resolution, do I need one? :P

May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I’ve played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.
Edgar Guest

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives… not looking for flaws, but for potential.
Ellen Goodman

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective.
G.K. Chesterton

2009 Year of the Ox

It’s the year of the earth ox now and it is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. That’s why everybody is looking forward to a blessed and prosperous year.

There’s not much Chinese new year celebration here in Phnom Penh as they have their own Khmer new year in April, but since 70% of the businesses are owned by Chinese, most of the stalls will be closed tomorrow. However, it’s not holiday in the office so we still need to come and work…and if we’re lucky, maybe we’ll receive an ang pao from our bosses :-D

RECAP:

We attended a small coke event near Naga Hotel this afternoon which is organised by Phibious. They launched their new TVC for 2009 which has focused on how you’ll share your coke for the new year. Awesome plot and the message has surely gotten across by the viewers. Not to mention the price that coke has paid, definitely the commercial will turn out great!

Thanks to Elliot for all the coke I have in the fridge, now I have to worry that I might get diabetes soon as I drink too much everyday :P kidding!!!
