Baby Brianna
September 11th, 2009 Posted 12:41 am
A child is a gift from heaven by God. They are treasured for they are special. They should be nurtured and be loved by their parents. But how could baby Brianna’s parents take her life away?
Brianna Lopez was born on February 14, 2002 to her mother Stephanie Lopez and father Andy Walters. She was a beautiful baby not until her life was cut short in 5 months. For the whole duration of her life, she has suffered a lot of hardships that not a single child should ever experience and yet from her infant stage, her parents had abused her. She has bruises from head to toe, lacerations on her fingers, concussions and bites all over her body – all done by her parents. She was even thrown up in the air several times and they just let her fall on the floor. She even suffered from shaken baby syndrome but none of them cared.
Above is the heart-melting video of baby Brianna. I wasn’t able to stop myself from crying when I watched it, I thought of my children suddenly and felt sorry in times that I get mad to them but never will I be like Brianna’s parents! I will never afford to lose them! Brianna’s death is the worst child abuse ever recorded and her death opened many doors for change. Child abuse will not happen if there are people willing to help. Not a single chance will be missed if there are people listening and putting everything in action to prevent the abuse. I will admit that I am so taken by this story and that I couldn’t take off Brianna’s picture in my head.
I just hope that for those who get to watch this video or even read her story, I hope that Brianna has touched a part of your heart and make your eyes wide open to see what is happening in your surrounding and make yours ears hear all the cries of children/people who needs help. WE are not perfect but we can DO something to make this world a better place.
Rest in Peace baby Brianna.

Trick or treat is celebrated mostly by kids where you will be fascinated by their Halloween costumes.
I found a good set of dresses that will surely fit my kids. As a mom, it is important to choose products that are high quality and comes in a good price. Costume Cauldron has amazing sets from infants to adults. I have chosen my best three Halloween costumes for them

The above costume is for Aiken. She will look cute in this one as she loves carebears like her dad. She even has a funshine bear in her stuff toy collection. I also like the army costume for her because she likes playing with guns and handcuffs this days. I am dead sure that she’ll turn out to be a lovely baby in the costume

Perfect for Aaron! He love transformers especially bumblebee! He’s going to be adorable in this set! Cute cute!

Andrea will look gorgeous in this one! She is one big fan of angels and this is going to a favourite for her
All the costumes are very affordable and they come to your right size. They even made it easy for your to order because they will ship the Halloween costumes to your place for free. Very convenient, right?

I love VNC!
August 19th, 2009 Posted 7:30 am
Nestle and I were on our way to his ‘suki‘ to buy a new 24-70mm lens with 2.8 aperture when a familiar banner caught my eyes. VNC down in Sihanouk is on SALE, woooweeet! It’s only a couple of days ago that I am thinking of buying new shoes and wallah, my wish is granted
I am such a bargain hunter and it’s recession everywhere so I have to manage my finances and at the same time buy my ‘NEEDS’. VNC has cool collection at all times and I love their designs! I fitted several styles and chose 3 pairs in the end. I bought 2 cute high heels and a silver flat doll shoes. I remember the sales lady giggling while I can’t manage to decide which one to buy, hahaha! Take note all the shoes I bought are 70% off
They’re sale until the end of the month, so for those who are interested, visit their shop now while stocks last
Note:
I will buy more this weekend together with Andrea and Manang

2 Corinthians 9:13-14
August 11th, 2009 Posted 9:40 pm
2 Corinthians 9:13-14 – Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
I was hit by last Sunday‘s bible study at the Bethany Baptist Church, the topic is about appreciation. Before coming to church I received a call from Tita Eva saying if I could make ‘lumpiang shanghai’ for Tito Roman as it’s his birthday celebration in the afternoon and plus the fact they all loved the one I gave them – ‘ang sarap kasi ng timpla mo‘ as Tita Eva said.
Dun sa bible study, sabi dapat daw maging appreciative tayo which is one of my so called defect. Nature na kasi nating mga pinoy na laging me second thoughts pagnapupuri which is really not good. Dapat alisin natin ang doubts at tanggapin natin ng buong puso ang pagpuri sa tin.
From now I will not be doubtful in accepting compliments. Deserving naman ako para dun eh ![]()

What just happened…
February 9th, 2009 Posted 12:29 pm
There’s so many changes in the office and I will not bother to elaborate them anymore! The fiasco is too hard to handle and and I am using this ‘down time’ to more useful things
By the way, last week is a pretty good one
Friday:
It’s party time at the Riverhouse Lounge! Nestle and I went out together with Eileen, Richard, Nestor and two other Filipina friends of him who are here for a very short stay. The dancefloor was packed and everybody’s just doing their own moves. I am still abit naive at first, playing shy while deep inside I just wanna dance and be carried away. Soon Nestle and I were both grinding. It’s been so long since we went out and danced, was it at Go2 in Vietnam with Rodel? yeah maybe, I can’t remember clearly, hahaha! So going back, we danced and danced till we dropped when one of the DJ’s announced that Sean Kingston is in the house. Hearing it I immediately made my way to where he is, unfamiliar with how he looks like, I kept on asking where is Sean
not knowing that he’s the fat guy in the middle sitting. We waited for some actions to happen since the DJ kept shouting ‘Sean Kingston in the house, make some nooooiiiisseee’ and that he’ll sing a song unfortunately nothing was done. No singing and no dancing from him, maybe he’s too tired from his concert at the Olympic Stadium and also, he might be very disappointed because he’s around in the disco but the music playing were mostly by Akon
Saturday:

Another food tasting at InterContinetal Phnom Penh. They have a new set of menu for their Xiang Palace. Some of the food we ate a ‘exotic’ specially in the way it tastes. I’m just an ordinary food lover who only knows how to eat chicken, pork, beef and some fish, so if you put pigeon on my plate that would be exotic for me
Rating the whole set, I will give them 8
Not bad ey! Chef Teng said that the foods were all good for health especially the Ginseng Soup which is very good for the skin. After our super yummy dinner, we headed at the riverside to eat pizza, a special pizza that will make you happy! But to may dismay, I didn’t feel anything unusual aside from the fact that I am so full
Sunday:

The whole family woke up early to prepare a trip in Kampong Thom province, it’s Chantol’s wedding and we are all excited to be present and share the happiness he and his wife are having. It’s a 2hrs ride from Phnom Penh and it’s our first time to be there, so we made sure that the trip will be worth the stay.

Aside from the wedding, we went to Santuk Mountain which is the main attraction of the town. With the perfect pink dress and pink sandals I am wearing, it made my 820 steps climbing up the mountain very stressful! However, it’s paid off when we reached the top, the aerial view of the whole town is superb
After the sightseeing, we went back to the wedding ceremony to see the couple. Soon we bid farewell and gave them our best wishes!
