You Made My Day
December 14th, 2011 Posted 6:58 pm
What else can a teacher ask for more than having students that never forgets you? This morning I received a very sweet Christmas card from a past student who is now currently studying in Singapore. Her name is Yi Houy and she had been my student for 2 years. She’s definitely one of the sweetest girls in the class and the most talkative too
The card is simple but the words are warm and sweet. It made my day complete and it has put a smile on my face. I’ll admit that I miss your presence in the class – though you annoy me most of the time. I never had a “fan” who have love me like you do, and you’re very much cherished because of that.
So Yi Houy, I hope you’ll give your best in everything you do. Remember that I’m always here to support you in all your endeavors and will never get tired listening to all your stories. Drop by at my class when you’re in town again, okay? I miss you and love you mucho!

2011 Invitational Track and Field at Northbridge International School Cambodia
March 7th, 2011 Posted 8:27 pm
Last 25th February, five international schools in Phnom Penh competed for the annual invitational track and field competition at Northbridge International School Cambodia. The event is in lieu to a yearly fund raising event of NISC to help orphanages here in Cambodia. The schools included Cambodia International Academy, International School of Phnom Penh, ICan British International School, LOGOS, and Northbridge International School.
Students from grades 3, 4, and 5 showcased their talents in sports that consisted of 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m run, standing long jump, hurdles, relay, ball throw, and tug-of-war. Spectators all cheered on the top of their lungs to express their support for the players and of course Team CIA didn’t fail to do so.
Key players from each school showed bravery and strength to finish each game. All of them demonstrated humbleness in every winning moment which made me feel proud as their little paparazzi of the day.
Here are some of the fantastic shots I’ve got from the event:
Team NISC wearing navy blue shirts!
Go runners!
Tug-of-war!
Jump the hurdles
Sack Race
Standing long jump
Best Coaches! Coach Ken and Coach John
and the cheering squad
Rounding up, here’s the standing of each school when the game finished.
1st Place – Cambodia International Academy
2nd Place – Northbridge International Academy Cambodia
3rd Place – Ican British International School
4th Place – International School of Phnom Penh
5th Place – LOGOS
It was truly an exciting event, all the students shouted for their team till their voices run out. Congratulations to all the winners especially our dear CIA Team, we’re so PROUD of you guys. Keep up the good work and till the next run once again. B-R-A-V-O!!!
