October 9th, 2009 Posted 1:08 pm

NASA’s on full blast as they set to bomb the moon at approximately 4:30 a.m. and 4:34 a.m. PDT on Friday October 9, 2009 (and that is today :P ). NASA will also have a television coverage beginning at 3:15 a.m, so better stay tuned for the updates :)

Ice on the moon

The goal of this mission is to search for water ice on the moon . Remember they had set the LunarΒ  Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite or LCROSS on its adventure to the moon last June 2009.

This is going to be one big part of history again and there are many who are eagerly waiting for the time to capture this event. For all the photographers out there – prepare your zoom lens now and make sure you have your camera ready :)
