According to NDCC’s last report, there are many areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) that are not passable. This includes Malabon, E. Rodriguez cor Araneta Avenue in Quezon City, Palasan in Valenzuela, Brgys. 180, 185, 187, in Pasay, Brgy. Santolan in Pasig, Brgy. Mandalay in Marikina, Brgy. Tunasan in Muntinlupa and Brgys. Banaba, Sta. Ana and San Mateo in Rizal. PAGASA added, typhoon Ondoy continues to move with a maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. and is expected to leave the country’s area of responsibility by Monday morning.

It’s signal number 1 in Cavite and there’s also flood just right outside the apartments where Nestle’s family live. My 14 months old daughter Kyle Aiken took this opportunity to play with her Tito Nico and Tita Nica under the rain. For 15 minutes, they splashed in the flood and Aiken has enjoyed it big time.

She’s really liking the water, she think it’s a swimming pool!

She was hesitant to leave the flood but she doesn’t have any choice or else she might have colds. Truly, typhoon Ondoy has brought simple joy to my daughter’s day.

Before I close this entry, I want to ask all of you to say a simple prayer for our fellow Filipinos who are suffering due to the heavy rains. Let us pray for their safety and that they may surpass this calamity.
