9th Ray on Philippine Flag’s Sun
September 24th, 2009 Posted 11:11 am
Just a quick info:
The Philippine flagβs current eight-ray sun represents the eight provinces that first rose in rebellion against Spanish colonial rule in 1896βManila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna and Batangas.
Now, Sec. Dick Gordon who is the author of the Ninth Ray Bill believes that this major step will reunite the country once again.
I just thought of what advantage this amendment will bring to the country. For the past many decades, we have been in war with the Muslims in the south. The government said they’re trying their best to control and eventually overcome the troops but till now they’re on the loose. If this is going to be a major change, I just hope it will be soon. I am kinda fed up watching the news about the MILF’s who kill normal citizens and kidnaps foreign nationalities for money. It doesn’t bring any good for us. Isn’t it more interesting if they will give us good news about this kind of matter. That they have literally stopped the MILF’s operation and then we can say that we are one united country. Also, rather than focusing on this ’9th Ray’, why don’t they prioritise other more important issues like corruption. I assume this makes more sense than the one stated above, right?
I dunno, I am not a political person, and I hate politics – ye know it’s DIRTY! but as a citizen who aims to have a good life, we still depend on the administration and hope they will bring into actions whatever they have promised during their campaigns in the election.
